About Us

We are a family-owned and operated company that has been located in Windham, ME since 2002.  The company was started as a result of our own first-hand experience with family members.  We know how frustrating and challenging it can be to not know who to call for help, or, what services are available.  We would be pleased to help.  Call 892-1454.

Homemaker Service

We specialize in helping with housekeeping chores like vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors, grocery shopping, meal planning and preparation, laundry and making beds.

Our caregivers make it possible for elderly clients to save their time for the more important things in life…being with family, going for walks, cuddling a pet, and especially, remaining at home.

Personal Care Assistance

Personal Care Assistance is for elderly clients for whom Homemaker Service is not quite enough to meet their unique needs. For them, hands on assistance may be needed.

Our experienced Personal Support Specialists have successfully passed State approved courses and will provide that personal service with respect and discretion.

Medical Alert Systems

To further compliment our in-home elder care services (and add another level of safety and security) we offer our HelpLine® Medical Alert Systems.

Intended for seniors who have an unsteady gait, history of falls, or live alone…the medical alert system makes it possible to summon help by simply pressing a button.

What We Do

Prior to beginning service, we will meet with you and/or a family member to determine the specific tasks you would like completed on each of our visits.  We will also establish the schedule of visits you prefer.  You will decide which days and the start and stop times.  We refer to this as your Plan of Care.  You will also have the opportunity to meet your caregiver.

Our History

2002 - Opening

Home Support Services opened for business on Tandberg Trail in Windham, ME.

2002 - State Registration

Completed the process of submitting personal references and background check to the State of Maine.  State-Registered PCA Agency status approved.  

2002 - Contract With EIM

Completed the process of submitting personal references and background check to the Elder Independence of Maine.  Contract reviewed and approved.  Now eligible to provide Personal Care Assistance to State consumers.

2003 - Medical Alert Service

Added Medical Alert Service to company offerings to provide another tool for maintaining clients’ safety and welfare.

2005 - Transportation Service

As a result of numerous requests, purchased 2 company vehicles to begin offering transportation service to clients.

2008 - Expanded Office

Added office space due to increasing number of office personnel.  Office Manager added to staff.

2012 - Added VOIP

With the increase in VOIP phone service, VOIP compatible Medical Alert Systems added to inventory to keep pace with technology.

2016 - Added Administrator

Due to continued company growth, promoted Office Manager to Administrator.  New Office Manager promoted.

2021 - Purchased/Moved Office

Due to growth, purchased office condo at 744 Roosevelt Trail and moved entire office.

2022 - New Supervisor

Added Emergency Systems Supervisor to keep pace with rapid increase of Medical Alert System clients and to ensure level of service is maintained.

2020 - Mobile Medical Alert

As a result of significant, rapid growth/interest in mobile Medical Alert Systems, added the Belle product line.
